I was recently interviewed on the subject of Creation Care for the Evangelical Free Denomination’s national magazine: the EFCA Today.

Josh (and Melodie):
Josh, I am just slightly old enough to be your father. I was in Mike Linville’s youth group in Irving in the 70′s. Mike performed the wedding ceremony for my wife and me. Mike and Marilyn are a dear brother and sister to me although we now live far apart. I was there, almost 30 years ago when Mike and Marilyn brought Melodie home for the first time. I have always thought of Melodie as a very younger sister and, she was a flower girl in our wedding.
For many years, I thought God had called me to the ministry. I am now convinced that those doors are shut to me but, as you say, God opens other doors. My wife and I also have three children, a very independent, almost man, boy and two beautiful daughters.
I thoroughly rejoice that Melodie has such a man as you in her life. It thrills me beyond measure that you open yourself up through this blog and you are honest. Stay a man after God’s own heart and He will bless. It may not be how you expect but He will bless and His timing is always perfect.
By the way, have you read The Shack? If you feel comfortable, and you check me out with your In-Laws, I can mail you a copy. I get no commission…I just think it is an extremely valuable book.
I will do my best to keep up with your blog. Stay true.
Your brother for here and eternity.
